Randwick Girls' High School P&C is a vibrant community of dedicated parents who provide an open forum for parents, caregivers, teachers, students and the extended school community. The P&C is committed to helping to create a strong, cohesive school community by working closely with the principal, teachers, staff and students to facilitate and encourage an open dialogue between parents/carer givers and the school. 

SUPPORTING OUR SCHOOL

Each year the P&C contributes valuable funds for educational resources, equipment and facilities to improve and support our daughters’ learning environment and the school’s educational initiatives. The P&C executive works with parents, students and the school’s leadership to determine funding priorities and ‘wish lists’.

The P&C raises funds primarily through:

•      Government grants and community partnerships

•      P&C levy

YOUR P&C LEVY = RESOURCES FOR OUR SCHOOL!

The P&C levy is a voluntary contribution that the P&C requests from families in support of its fundraising activities. The suggested levy is $30 per student but any contribution is much appreciated. The levy may be paid in one lump sum or in instalments throughout the year. With a student population of around 1,000 we have the potential to raise $30,000 or more from this levy.

 

GETTING INVOLVED

The best way to connect with the school community is to be involved. The P&C encourages and welcomes the participation of all families to help create a dynamic, inclusive and supportive community at RGHS.

We know that families are busy and it is not always possible to help every time a call for volunteers is made or to attend every meeting but we encourage you to be involved in whatever way you can.

There are many ways to participate and support the P&C. We have members on the Uniform Review Sub-Committee, the School Finance Sub-committee and periodic merit selection panels. You can also volunteer your time, expertise and skills or your network of contacts that could help the P&C to raise funds and in-kind contributions for important educational resources, equipment and facilities to benefit our daughters.

 

MEETINGS

P&C meetings are held every 3rd Monday of each month during term time

7pm in the school library.

OUR OBJECTIVES

  • Promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close cooperation
  • Assist in providing facilities, equipment and opportunities to support, enhance and enrich our daughters' learning
  • Promote the recreation and welfare of the students at the school
  • Encourage parent and community participation in curriculum and other education issues
