On Friday 31 August 2018, our Year 8 and 9 Chinese classes went on a culturally enriched excursion. Our exciting day started from the Chinese Garden of Friendship where students experienced the harmony of a traditional Chinese garden. Students were amazed with koi carps, turtles and baby ducks swimming in the lake, various sizes of waterfalls, exotic plants and its unique Chinese architecture. It followed with a delicious Yum Cha for lunch which included fried rice, fried noodles, BBQ buns, steamed and fried prawn dumplings, meatballs, Shaomai, spring rolls, egg tarts, mango pancakes and vegetarian buns. All students’ dietary requirements were met. Afterwards, students explored Paddy’s Market in groups and tried other Chinese food and activities. It was a wonderful day!
